Exporting and importing the eLearning content which is to be translated with Captivate 7 has been made easy. Here I would like to share with you how to do it in three simple steps.
1. Open the Project
Open the course that needs to be translated in Captivate 7 from the Open folder.
2. Export Content
From the menu bar, select the File menu option. From the list displayed, select the Export option. Select Project Captions and Closed Caption options in that to export project content to the word document. Below is the screenshot for reference.
The content of the course will be exported to the Word document. Then the Save As window appears. Save the file by selecting the path and click the Save button.
Note: Content of the image cannot be exported. So it’s better not to have the content on images.
Slide IDs and Item IDs are generated once the content is exported to the word document. The below screenshot shows you the exported word document.
Updated Text Caption Data column needs to be translated by the translator and the other columns like slide id, item id, Original Text Caption Data and Slide number need not be translated.
3. Import Content
After translating the content go to the File menu and from the list, select the Import option. Select the Project Captions and Closed Caption option to import the translated word document. Below is the screenshot for reference.
