We have already seen the Quick Access toolbar in PowerPoint and Word. Articulate Storyline also has a Quick Access toolbar. This helps the developer to access the menu items easily and quickly.
To access the menu items easily and quickly, we need to add them to the Quick Access toolbar, which we frequently use for developing purpose, thereby reducing developing time.
By clicking on the icon in the Quick Access toolbar, we can perform the action of the menu item and it is not necessary to access the same button from the main menu.
Quick Access toolbar: It is a toolbar that contains icons of the functions that a developer will use frequently while developing a course.
By default, the Quick Access toolbar is located at the top left corner of the Storyline window. The position of the Quick access toolbar can however be changed.
To change the position of this toolbar, click on the drop-down arrow on Quick access toolbar and select Show Below the Ribbon. Then the position of the Quick access toolbar can be shifted to a position below the ribbon.
By default, three icons are available in the Quick Access toolbar (save, undo, and redo). You can enable or disable those icons using the check mark.
You can customize the Quick Access toolbar by adding icons to or removing icons from the toolbar.
Adding icons to the Quick Access toolbar: Go to a menu item and right click on it. Then click on Add to Quick access toolbar from the drop-down list.
Removing icons from the Quick Access toolbar: Go to the Quick Access toolbar, right click on the icon. Then click on Remove from Quick access toolbar from the drop-down list.
