How to Convert a PDF Document into a Flipbook?

In my previous blog, we have discussed how flipbooks look more attractive and professional than ordinary PDFs. We have also come across various advantages of flipbooks. Today, I will share with you the steps involved in converting a PDF into a page-turning flipbook with the help of the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Pro software.

Usually the client provides the source file in the form of a PDF. This PDF is then converted into a PowerPoint format and designed further by adding themes, images and colors so that it can be given an effective look.

This is how a PDF is typically transformed into a PowerPoint format:

Now let me show you the steps involved in converting this into a flipbook with an amazing page-turning effect:

Step 1: Once the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Pro software is opened, we can see the following interface. See the below screenshot:

Interface to import pdf

Here, we can import the PDF that needs to be converted to a flipbook. The Flipbook Maker software also allows us to import pictures (.jpg, jpeg, .png, .gif and .bmp), and flash movies and videos (.swf, .flv, .f4v, .mp4).

Step 2: We can see in the screenshot below how the PDF has got imported so easily. Here, on this page, we can either select the whole PDF or give a page range for conversion into a flipbook. We can also set the quality of the pages here. Once we are done, we need to click the ‘OK’ command button to proceed further.

Now the next step is to click the ‘Page Edit’ icon in the interface.

Step 4: When the ‘Page Edit’ icon is clicked, we can see 3 tabs under it, namely, Element, Clipart and Effect on the left side.

Element: Under the Element tab, we can find various buttons that will allow us to add Hyperlinks, Text, Images, Hotspots, SWF files and Videos to the pages of PDF. We can also add YouTube videos and sound to the pages of the PDF document in this section.

Clipart: Under the Clipart tab, we can find various inbuilt Clipart under animals, environment, festival, funny and other categories. We can add any of these clipart to the pages of the PDF file.

Effect: The Effect tab allows us to add effects for each page or all pages of the PDF document.

Once, we are done, we need to click the ‘Design’ icon on top of the interface.

Step 5: Under the ‘Design’ icon, we will find two tabs, namely, Style and Language.

Style: Under the Style tab we can find a wide selection of inbuilt themes and templates. We can view and select any desired theme or template and apply that to the PDF document.

In this section, the ‘Advanced Setting’ button will also be given below, which can be used to make advanced settings such as changing background color, branding the flip book with logo and link, setting the flipping speed of flipbook, creating bookmarks, setting the flipbook title, creating customized table of contents and many more.

Language: The Language tab allows us to set multiple languages of the world including English, French, Arabic, German, Italian and others for the user interface. This is intended to allow readers to view and read content in their own choice of language.

After the settings are done, we can click the ‘Publish’ icon on top of the interface for publishing the flipbook.
