Articulate Storyline: How to Translate Interface Content

In a recent survey. It was revealed that 85% of multinational companies (MNCs) translated their online courses into 10 different languages, with a majority of them translating their courses into atleast 2 languges. It is not just the course content that needs to be translated, but also the text on the interface ( GUI) buttons. I was involved in more then 100 projects and found Articulate Storyline as the ideal authoring tool for interface content translation.

Let’s now see how to translate your Interface content using Atrticulate Storyline.

Step 1: CLICK the Player icon at the right side of the Home Panel.

Step 1Step 2 : Player Properties window will appear. Then CLICK Text Labels icon.

Step 3 : After clicking on the Text Labels , you can see the Player Text Labels appearing. To change your Interface language,CLICK language dropdown list, and then select the languages into which you want to translate the interface.

Step 3Step 4 : Here, I have selected French for my Interface content translation.

Step 5: You can see in the image below that your text’s labels are changed to French.If you want, you can also enter your own translated content in Custom Text Field.

Step 6 : To update these text labels , CLICK OK to save your changes.
