Saving time and cost for developing eLearning courses are the prime requisites for any organization. Adobe Presenter is an add-in to MS -PowerPoint and useful for rapid development of eLearning courses. Here, I would like to share some of its features which are helpful in saving your eLearning development time. These are as follows:
Audio Narration feature: Using this feature we can record audio and simultaneously synchronize it with on screen text. We can import the audio and also edit the imported audio. We can also record the audio for the individual slides and export the recorded audio in MP3 format.
Video recording: Using this tool we can record the videos through webcam and at the same time create screen casts. We can easily upload them to YouTube. We can also record software simulations if we have Captivate 7 installed in the system.
Interactivity and Navigation: Adobe Presenter has an inbuilt set of interactivities. We can easily add images and audio for the interactions. We can restrict the slide navigation and we can add basic level of branching to the course.
Assessments and Quiz: This tool has a wide range of inbuilt sets of assessments. We can also add the audio and images for the quizzes. We can randomize the questions and we can set global quiz preferences. Also, we have the option of shuffling the answers.
Publishing and Tracking: You can publish the courses to Flash based html, PDF and CD-ROM. While publishing we can set the audio and image quality. We can also directly publish the course into the Adobe Connect server. For tracking and reporting purpose, we can publish the courses into Learning Management Systems (LMSs) that are compatible to SCORM 1.2, 2004, AICC and Tin Can . Tin Can option is available in latest version Adobe Presenter 9.
