Here, I would like to share some aspects of the Storyline GUI. We have default GUI templates available in Storyline. But they can be customized according to our requirements. Let us now see both of them.
1. Default GUI: Default GUI contains the default designs and templates present in Articulate Storyline. In the default GUI, we can customize the player properties by using players’ option. In which the Player tabs can be selected easily. Like adding resources tab, Menu tab, Glossary Tab, Notes, etc.
In the default GUI, we can change the colors of players and many other features.
These are the features of default GUI.
2. Customized GUI: Customized GUI is developed according to the user requirements. For customizing the GUI of a course, you need to use the master slide to change the slide template according to the requirements.
In a customized GUI, the buttons are inserted in the master slide. And actions are given in the master slide for these buttons. These are applied throughout the entire course. In some special cases, a few buttons are inserted on the slide so that the navigation is smooth. (Branching slide). In a customized GUI, the progress bar can be inserted but cannot be controlled.
This is the process of using Customized GUI. When you compare normal GUI with customized GUI, the default GUI consists of default options which save time for the developer. Creating a customized GUI takes more time, but you can have the GUI of your choice. Have anything to say? Please do share!
