Articulate Storyline provides a default Submit button to its in-built quiz slides and interactivities. When the learner clicks on the submit button without attempting the quiz or completing the interactivity, ‘Invalid Answer’ will pop up and instructs the learner to attempt the quiz or to complete the interactivity.
One of our clients did not want this instruction. Instead, he asked to show the submit button only when the learner completes the activity. This cannot be done with the default button. So, we had to create a custom submit button which is hidden and shows up when the learner completes the activity.
So, in this blog, I will show you how to create a custom submit button and show it when the learner completes the activity.
The Steps are:
Step 1: Create a customized drag and drop interactivity.
For the above interactivity Rectangle 1 and Rectangle 2 are correct answers.
Step 2: Change the Initial state of Submit button to Hidden.
Then submit button was in hidden state when he first visits the slide.
Step 3: Let’s add triggers to each draggable item in the interactivity as shown in the screen shots.
These triggers will make the submit button visible when any of the three drag items are dropped into the drop targets.
Step 4: Now publish the course and check the output. First the Submit button is Hidden. If we Drag and Drop any Item the Submit button comes to Normal State.
In this way, you can enable Submit button after answering customized Drag and Drop.
