Nowadays, it has become quite easy to develop learner engagement courses using authoring tools. The learner can engage with the course using interactivities and assessments. Articulate Storyline has the capability to create such type of interactivities and assessments in a more creative manner.
One of our clients came up with this requirement: when the learner drags Articulate Storyline has the capability to create such type of interactivities and assessments in a more creative manner.and drops an item in the correct drop target, we need to hear the word “correct.” When the learner does not drop correctly then we need to hear the word “incorrect”. We generally use this type of requirement in game-based courses.
Let us see how we can meet this requirement using Articulate Storyline.
Here are the steps involved.
Step 1: Create a slide with drag-and-drop objects and then convert it into the freeform slide.
Step 2: And assign the drag items to the correct drop target.
Step 3: Go to slide properties and disable the submit button.
Step 4: Import correct and incorrect audios into the slide from the insert menu.
Step 5: Then add the below triggers.
Trigger 1: Play the “Correct” audio when Drag items 1 are dropped into the correct drop target. (Here, Goal 2 is the correct drop target for drag item 1).
Trigger 2: Play the “Incorrect” audio when Drag items 1 are dropped into the incorrect drop target.
Add the above two triggers to each Drag item and publish or preview and check the functionality.
In this manner, we can customize the drag-and-drop feature using correct and incorrect audio. Hope this blog is informative. Please share your thoughts.
