Can learners know the duration of the final quiz and how long they’ve taken to complete it? Well this was what our client needed in his e-learning course. And we were happy to tell him, as we tell you now that yes; it is possible through Articulate Storyline. All we have to do is add a Timer.
Let’s see how to go about doing this.
Step 1: Develop the final quiz as you desire.
Step 2: Select New Slide from the Insert tab.
Step 3: Under the Quizzing category, click the Result Slides tab (it will be selected by default, click only if not selected).
Step 4: Select Blank Result Slide and click the Insert button to insert a Blank Result Slide your e-learning course.
Step 5: In the window, check the ‘End quiz after’ option (it will be unchecked by default) and specify the time limit you want.
Select the Timer format to ‘Elapsed out of total’ from the drop down list. This will show the time the learner has taken to answer.
Step 6: Publish your e-learning course and check the output. The timer will appear at top right corner of your course.
These are the six simple steps to add a timer to the final quiz in e-learning courses using Articulate Storyline.
Note: Make sure you remove the Result Slide from the Menu (which doesn’t make any sense, if added).
