The same can be applied to eLearning where storytelling can be used to teach concepts and create an engaging environment for your learner. Here are a few tips to use storytelling in eLearning:
The first and foremost factor to keep in mind is that any story ought to be real and meaningful so that your learner takes away the intended idea and your story serves that purpose. The next tip to consider is to make sure that the message you want to convey is effective and clear enough for your learner to understand. Third is to keep the story short and simple because even a good story can put off your learner if it’s lengthy and monotonous.
Once you know what kind of story to use, add characters to grab the learner’s attention, characters to add life to your story and make them even more interesting. Last but definitely not the least, use appropriate narration to back your story, narration is an art in itself a perfect narration can take your story to the next level.
