E-learning is constantly evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of learners. It originated as computer-based training (CBT), and later metamorphosized as compact disc read-only memory (CD-ROM) training.
With the advent of the internet, it took the avatar of web-based training (WBT) which later emerged as network-enabled training facilitating effective collaboration between learners. The latest incarnation of e-learning is mobile learning (m-learning), and as mobile devices become an integral part of our lives, m-learning holds immense potential.
